COLLISION CENTER ESTIMATOR

Reports to:                 Collision Center Manager

Hours of Work:           7:35 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday

                                    Required to stay until 7:00 pm

                                    One evening a week

                                    Every third Saturday - hours vary

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write estimates on all vehicles in the drive
  • Write estimates on all towed-in vehicles
  • Write all supplements
  • Follow up on all unsold estimates for the purpose of selling
  • Use "P" page logic on all estimates
  • Write estimates that reflect all needed parts and labor operations
  • Follow all insurance Co. DRP procedures and updates
  • Get agreed price with customers and insurance company's
  • Review all estimates/supplements with Tech's to avoid any delays
  • Turn  in estimates to parts department
  • Keep a detailed log of estimate activity

SUMMARY:

Sells and/or leases new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·    Ensures a high quality, effective, and professional experience is provided to every customer.

·    Maintains high ethical standards in daily activities

·    Develops and achieves challenging individual goals and expectations

·    Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.

·    Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month

·    Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.

·    Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.

·    Explains fully product performance, application and benefits to prospects.

·    Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.

·    Offers test drive to all prospects.  Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.

·    Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up system.

·    Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

·    Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.

·    Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.

·    Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.

·    Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

·Knows and understands equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the customer.

·    Ensures that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.

·    Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly complete paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).

·    Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.

·    Prepares sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.

·    Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.

·    Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.

·    Schedules first service appointment.

·    Follows up on all post deliver items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.

·    Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.

·     Maintains a prospect development system.

·    Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

·    Attends sales meetings.

·    Maintains professional appearance.

EXPERIENCE:

·    One year in retail environment preferred

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·    Moving throughout the sales department and grounds

·    Using computer to look up information

·    Standing six to eight hours during a shift

·    Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching and climbing

·    Using equipment consistent with industry standards

SERVICE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Production Environment:               Traditional/Advanced

Reports to:                                         Service Manager

Hours of work:                                 7 am to 7 pm Monday-Friday

                                                            8 am to 5 pm Saturday

                                                            12 am to 1 pm Lunch 

BASIC JOB SUMMARY:

An Automotive technician is responsible for the actual service and/or repair of vehicles assigned to him by service management or their designated representatives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Properly complete the services and/or repair for which the technician is trained as assigned by management of their designated representative.

·         Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.

·         Maintain an inventory or normal mechanic's tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels, punches and other tools needed to perform the work for which the Technician is trained and not normally inventories by the service department as "special tools."

·         Properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the Service department.

·         Participate in and utilize to the best of one's abilities, technical training as assigned by management.

·         Produce quality work that shows pride of workmanship.

·         Maintain the workspace assigned in an organized and clean manner.

·         Ensure that customers' vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.

·         Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies.

·         Arrive to work, take breaks and depart work at the times designated by management.

·         Show common courtesy to all customers and dealership personnel.

·         Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.

·         Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.

·         Provide the administrative assistances necessary to complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management.

·         Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.

·         Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.

·         Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, its personnel or customers.

BODY SHOP TECHNICIAN

REPORTS TO:                                 Collision Center Manager

HOURS OF WORK:                                    8 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • "A" Body Tech Trainee
  • Ability to repair body panels and structural components
  • Ability to MIG weld and spot weld
  • Replace mechanical parts
  • Operate electronic frame measuring system
  • Measure and print a copy of before and after specifications on appropriate vehicles
  • All body filler work finished in #100 grit
  • Cut paint back for proper feather edging
  • Responsible for all the R&I of all trim items
  • Responsible for the security of all new parts delivered to the vehicle
  • Responsible for notifying the office of any missed parts or labor operations
  • Responsible for verifying the correct application of all parts
  • Must wear company approved uniforms
  • Responsible for housekeeping of work spaces
  • Work priorities and delivery dates controlled by Production Coordinator
  • Inform the PC of all vehicle movement
  • ASE certified
  • ICAR certified
  • Punch time clock at am-in/out for lunch-pm
  • Check all new parts for correctness and damage
  • Attend morning release meeting
  • Complete all operations itemized on the estimate
  • Replace all parts itemized on the estimate to include supplements
  • Ensure all items on the QC check list are completed and are operationally correct
  • Able to lift bumpers and assemblies of 50 lbs. or more
